Gratitude
Shukr, gratitude, is one of the most repeated ideas in the Quran. It changes how you see your own life.
14:7 (Recall the time) when your Lord declared, “If you express gratitude, I shall certainly give you more, and if you are ungrateful, then My punishment is severe.”
If you are grateful, God will give you more.
2:152 So Remember Me, and I will remember you, and be thankful to Me, and be not ungrateful to Me.
Remember Me and I will remember you. Be grateful to Me.
16:18 If you count the bounties of Allah, you cannot count them all. Surely, Allah is Most-Forgiving, Very-Merciful.
If you tried to count God's blessings, you could never number them.
31:12 We gave wisdom to Luqmān, and said, “Be grateful to Allah;” and whoever is grateful is, in fact, grateful for his own benefit, and whoever is ungrateful, then Allah is free of all needs, worthy of all praise.
Whoever is grateful benefits their own soul.
55:13 So, (O mankind and Jinn,) which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
The refrain of Surah ar-Rahman: which of your Lord's favours will you deny?
