بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ
وَٱلضُّحَىٰ ١
وَالضُّحٰىۙ ١
93:1 I swear by the forenoon,
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ ٢
وَالَّيۡلِ اِذَا سَجٰىۙ ٢
93:2 and by the night when it becomes peaceful,
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ ٣
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلٰىؕ ٣
93:3 your Lord (O Prophet,) has neither forsaken you, nor has become displeased.
وَلَلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ ٤
وَلَـلۡاٰخِرَةُ خَيۡرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الۡاُوۡلٰىؕ ٤
93:4 Surely the Hereafter is much better for you than the present life.
وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ ٥
وَلَسَوۡفَ يُعۡطِيۡكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرۡضٰىؕ ٥
93:5 And of course, your Lord will give you so much that you will be pleased.
أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَـَٔاوَىٰ ٦
اَلَمۡ يَجِدۡكَ يَتِيۡمًا فَاٰوٰى ٦
93:6 Did He not find you an orphan, and give you shelter?
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّا فَهَدَىٰ ٧
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآ لًّا فَهَدٰى ٧
93:7 And He found you unaware of the way (the Sharī‘ah ), then He guided you.
وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ ٨
وَوَجَدَكَ عَآٮِٕلًا فَاَغۡنٰىؕ ٨
93:8 and He found you in need, then made you need-free.
فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ ٩
فَاَمَّا الۡيَتِيۡمَ فَلَا تَقۡهَرۡؕ ٩
93:9 Therefore, as for orphan, do not oppress him,
وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ ١٠
وَاَمَّا السَّآٮِٕلَ فَلَا تَنۡهَرۡؕ ١٠
93:10 and as for the beggar, do not scold him.
وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ ١١
وَاَمَّا بِنِعۡمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثۡ ١١
93:11 And about the bounty of your Lord, do talk.
