بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ ١
وَالَّيۡلِ اِذَا يَغۡشٰىۙ ١
92:1 I swear by the night when it covers (the sun),
وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ ٢
وَالنَّهَارِ اِذَا تَجَلّٰىۙ ٢
92:2 and by the day when it unveils itself,
وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ ٣
وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالۡاُنۡثٰٓىۙ ٣
92:3 and by the One who created the male and the female,
إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ ٤
اِنَّ سَعۡيَكُمۡ لَشَتّٰىؕ ٤
92:4 your efforts are diverse:
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰ ٥
فَاَمَّا مَنۡ اَعۡطٰى وَاتَّقٰىۙ ٥
92:5 As for the one who gives (in charity) and fears Allah,
وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ٦
وَصَدَّقَ بِالۡحُسۡنٰىۙ ٦
92:6 and believes in the best (religion),
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ ٧
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهٗ لِلۡيُسۡرٰىؕ ٧
92:7 We will facilitate for him the way to extreme ease (i.e. the comforts of Paradise).
وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ ٨
وَاَمَّا مَنۡۢ بَخِلَ وَاسۡتَغۡنٰىۙ ٨
92:8 But the one who is miser and deems himself self-sufficient,
وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ٩
وَكَذَّبَ بِالۡحُسۡنٰىۙ ٩
92:9 and rejects the best (religion),
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ ١٠
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهٗ لِلۡعُسۡرٰىؕ ١٠
92:10 We will facilitate for him the way to extreme distress.
وَمَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ ١١
وَمَا يُغۡنِىۡ عَنۡهُ مَالُهٗۤ اِذَا تَرَدّٰىؕ ١١
92:11 And his wealth will not help him when he will fall down (into Hell).
إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ ١٢
اِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا لَـلۡهُدٰىۖ ١٢
92:12 Of course, it is undertaken by Us to guide,
وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْـَٔاخِرَةَ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ ١٣
وَاِنَّ لَـنَا لَـلۡاٰخِرَةَ وَالۡاُوۡلٰى ١٣
92:13 and in Our control is the Hereafter and the worldly life.
فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّىٰ ١٤
فَاَنۡذَرۡتُكُمۡ نَارًا تَلَظّٰىۚ ١٤
92:14 So I have warned you of a blazing fire.
لَا يَصْلَىٰهَآ إِلَّا ٱلْأَشْقَى ١٥
لَا يَصۡلٰٮهَاۤ اِلَّا الۡاَشۡقَىۙ ١٥
92:15 None will enter it but the wretched one,
ٱلَّذِى كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ١٦
الَّذِىۡ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّٰىؕ ١٦
92:16 who rejected (the truth) and turned away (from it).
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَتْقَى ١٧
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الۡاَتۡقَىۙ ١٧
92:17 And saved from it will be the most God-fearing one,
ٱلَّذِى يُؤْتِى مَالَهُۥ يَتَزَكَّىٰ ١٨
الَّذِىۡ يُؤۡتِىۡ مَالَهٗ يَتَزَكّٰىۚ ١٨
92:18 who gives his wealth (in charity) to become purified,
وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُۥ مِن نِّعْمَةٍ تُجْزَىٰٓ ١٩
وَمَا لِاَحَدٍ عِنۡدَهٗ مِنۡ نِّعۡمَةٍ تُجۡزٰٓىۙ ١٩
92:19 while no one has conferred any favour on him for which he would give a return,
إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ ٢٠
اِلَّا ابۡتِغَآءَ وَجۡهِ رَبِّهِ الۡاَعۡلٰىۚ ٢٠
92:20 but (he gave his wealth in charity) only to seek the Countenance of his Lord, the Most High.
وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ ٢١
وَلَسَوۡفَ يَرۡضٰى ٢١
92:21 And surely he will soon be happy.
