بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ
أَلْهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ ١
اَلۡهٰٮكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُۙ ١
102:1 You are distracted by mutual competition in amassing (worldly benefits),
حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ ٱلْمَقَابِرَ ٢
حَتّٰى زُرۡتُمُ الۡمَقَابِرَؕ ٢
102:2 until you reach the graves.
كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ٣
كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَۙ ٣
102:3 No! (This is not a correct attitude.) You will soon know (the reality).
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ٤
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَؕ ٤
102:4 Again, you will soon know.
كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ ٱلْيَقِينِ ٥
كَلَّا لَوۡ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ عِلۡمَ الۡيَقِيۡنِؕ ٥
102:5 No! Only if you knew (it) with a sure knowledge!
لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ ٦
لَتَرَوُنَّ الۡجَحِيۡمَۙ ٦
102:6 You will certainly see the Hell,
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ ٱلْيَقِينِ ٧
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيۡنَ الۡيَقِيۡنِۙ ٧
102:7 then you will see it with full certitude.
ثُمَّ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ٨
ثُمَّ لَـتُسۡـَٔـلُنَّ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيۡمِ ٨
102:8 Then you will be asked about all the pleasures (you enjoyed in the world).
