بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ ١
وَالسَّمَآءِ وَالطَّارِقِۙ ١
86:1 I swear by the sky and by the Night-Comer,-
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ ٢
وَمَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا الطَّارِقُۙ ٢
86:2 -and what may let you know what the Night-Comer is?
ٱلنَّجْمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ ٣
النَّجۡمُ الثَّاقِبُۙ ٣
86:3 The star of piercing brightness!- -
إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌ ٤
اِنۡ كُلُّ نَفۡسٍ لَّمَّا عَلَيۡهَا حَافِظٌؕ ٤
86:4 -there is no human being, but there is a watcher over him.
فَلْيَنظُرِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ ٥
فَلۡيَنۡظُرِ الۡاِنۡسَانُ مِمَّ خُلِقَؕ ٥
86:5 So, let man consider of which stuff he is created.
خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٍ دَافِقٍ ٦
خُلِقَ مِنۡ مَّآءٍ دَافِقٍۙ ٦
86:6 He is created of spouting water
يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ ٱلصُّلْبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ ٧
يَّخۡرُجُ مِنۡۢ بَيۡنِ الصُّلۡبِ وَالتَّرَآٮِٕبِؕ ٧
86:7 that comes out from between the loins and the chest-bones.
إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٌ ٨
اِنَّهٗ عَلٰى رَجۡعِهٖ لَقَادِرٌؕ ٨
86:8 Surely He is Powerful to bring him back
يَوْمَ تُبْلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ ٩
يَوۡمَ تُبۡلَى السَّرَآٮِٕرُۙ ٩
86:9 on a day when all the secrets will be searched out,
فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٍ وَلَا نَاصِرٍ ١٠
فَمَا لَهٗ مِنۡ قُوَّةٍ وَّلَا نَاصِرٍؕ ١٠
86:10 and he will have neither strength (to defend), nor a supporter.
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجْعِ ١١
وَالسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ الرَّجۡعِۙ ١١
86:11 I swear by the sky that rains,
وَٱلْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدْعِ ١٢
وَالۡاَرۡضِ ذَاتِ الصَّدۡعِۙ ١٢
86:12 and the earth that cracks open (for plants),
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌ ١٣
اِنَّهٗ لَقَوۡلٌ فَصۡلٌۙ ١٣
86:13 this is a decisive word,
وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلْهَزْلِ ١٤
وَّمَا هُوَ بِالۡهَزۡلِؕ ١٤
86:14 and it is not a joke.
إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًا ١٥
اِنَّهُمۡ يَكِيۡدُوۡنَ كَيۡدًا ۙ ١٥
86:15 They are devising plans,
وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًا ١٦
وَّاَكِيۡدُ كَيۡدًا ۚۖ ١٦
86:16 and I Am devising plans.
فَمَهِّلِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًۢا ١٧
فَمَهِّلِ الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ اَمۡهِلۡهُمۡ رُوَيۡدًا ١٧
86:17 So leave the disbelievers alone at the moment; give them respite for a while.
