The Quran and the Prophet ﷺ
How the Quran was preserved, how hadith were checked, and who the Prophet really was.
Answered
How do we know the Quran hasn't been changed?
The Quran was memorised by many people and written down during the Prophet's ﷺ lifetime, gathered into one book within about two years of his death, and standardised under the caliph Uthman within about twenty years. The earliest surviving manuscripts match the Quran recited today, and millions of people still memorise it word for word.
